- Well, it was a brand new modem, purchased a week before the serial port
- died the first time. And then it was the ONLY device connected to the
- computer between the first and second repairs. I suppose it could be a
- coincidence, but I think the odds of that are slim.

- I'm in Manhattan where, despite our many other problems, line voltages
- and phone lines are pretty good.

- To be fair, I've had few problems with several Supra 14.4s that I own.
- But no way am I planning to plug this 28.8 back into my Powerbook.
